About Our Services
Brittany is our main professional longarmer and has been quilting for 8 years. She specializes in custom quilting and loves to add extra flair using custom made stencils she creates herself! Brittany currently uses a hang-guided Innova longarm and we do not currently offer computerized designs, but are hoping to expand soon! Eliza, our 12 year old daughter, is a novice longarmer looking to gain more experience before she starts quilting for customers.
As each quilt is different, please stop in with your quilt top to request an accurate quote. Communication is essential for a great finished product. Please plan to spend at least 10 to 15 minutes per quilt top. We will ask many questions to help ensure that we understand what your expectations are.
What type of quilting do you prefer? The possibilities are literally endless! Rates are determined by the density and complexity of the quilting. Your actual quilt measurements are used to calculate your quilting price.
We ask that your backing and batting be at least 5" longer and 5" wider than your top. We also ask for only top quality batting and backing (no Mountain Mist, no Fleece). If your quilt or backing is directional, please mark the top.
As quilter, we are always looking to save the most fabric for future projects and we try to pass along those potential saving on to our customers. In doing so, we will position the top of the quilt to one corner. We ask that if the backing is going to be used as the biding, please indicate so we can make sure adjust the top placement accordingly.
How Much Will It Cost?
Pricing below is effective as of April 1, 2024 and all pricing is subject to change
Basic Pricing Structure:
The minimum charge per quilt is $50.00
Edge-to Edge Quilting (all over meandering, stipple, or pantogram) is $.02/sq inch and $.025/sq inch if densely quilted.
Edge to Edge Custom Designs (adding pumpkins, leaves, words, etc.) are $.03/sq inch and $.035/sq inch if densely quilted.
Custom Quilting (free hand designs specific to blocks, borders, sashing, etc.) are $.04/sq inch.
Design & Thread
Edge to Edge is an allover pattern going over your entire quilt. Simply choose one of my pre-set design choices or provide me a picture of an idea. If I can draw it, I can quilt it.
If you don't see one you like or have something specific in mind please let me know. I'm always building my inventory of patterns and am happy to work with you to select the perfect choice.
We use high quality threads and always match the threads to blend well. Your quilt is the star of the show and not the thread.
Quilt Intake Process
Just pick out your pattern, thread color, and fill out the quilt intake form provided at our shop and I will handle it from there! If you just don't know what to pick, I'm happy to choose for you!
We are averaging 4 weeks out for allover/edge-to-edge quilting. If you have a deadline, please call to see if we can meet it without a rush fee. I only discuss how much a rush fee would be once I know all the details of the project.
